Ashen Memory

Lies

Cancerous disease

When you begin to believe your own

Fabrications.

Tainting all it touches.
Polluting what once was pure.

Playdoh in the hands of the enemy.

You molded me
Silent
And
Emotionless.

Each cascading diamond
Was shattered by a sodden
hearted man.

No matter
What form I took
You'd never be satisfied

You build up to watch me burn.

I'm starting to think

there's room in this fire
For two of us.

Only this time I'll rise above the ashes
And you'll be nothing more

then an

ashen memory
