Untold
I was proud.
I watched the smoke fall from your mouth.
I felt brave.
I held the courage of a saint.
I laid down with you;
The whole world stops and melts away.
In this daze
I drew the marks upon your face.
To fade away.
An endless doubt.
The tower of Babel burnt out.
A language lost.
Forsaken tongues your God can wash.
Your God can watch.
I watched the smoke fall from your mouth.
I felt brave.
I held the courage of a saint.
I laid down with you;
The whole world stops and melts away.
In this daze
I drew the marks upon your face.
To fade away.
An endless doubt.
The tower of Babel burnt out.
A language lost.
Forsaken tongues your God can wash.
Your God can watch.
