The Ones

They continue to disregard the ones who want the best.
The ones who strive and long for overall success.
They awake with the thought that they want to see a better day.
But as soon as they speak their minds, they are brushed away.
These people are bright and full of passion.
These people are abundant but society wants them rationed.
The ones who reassure children that it is, in fact, okay to dream.
The ones who reassure adults that it is, in fact, okay to change.
They are open minded an innovated.
They are the ones who shine through even when others want them shaded.
Because of their never ending desire to see a better day,
I know my children will live in a world where they actually have a say.
