Demolition Secrets
Demolition secrets reach out to carry in
All our lies
All our sins
Bunched up. Tucking us in at night.
We sleep cozy inside our toxic shells,
where the ground gives way and dissipates
beneath us.
All the toxins from within burn our feet.
We cry,
but the world turns it's back on us
tells us not to lie.
So we curl up inside our shells to hide.
Listening for parasites.
Weakened by the brutal fights; we lose
Covering up how the close ones tug at us from the inside
How our love affairs give way to regrets
And we carry on our lives
Defending demolition secrets
