Gone

In my quiet moment
I panic inside and
The blood gushing
Through my heart
With every drop
Of dried up tears
On my cheeks
When the peace is gone
Eyes wide shut
I can’t sleep in this
Deadly silence and
Wondering dreams
My head is numb and
Even the light is off
But I can’t breath
When the air is gone
Traffic noise
Distance but near
Cars and people
Driving down the street
So near that I can hear
But loneliness is always
My companion and here
When the love is gone
