The girl in the mirror

Who am I

I don’t know

I am scared of what I have become but was left no time to change

Too much has come and I can’t handle it all

Unready for all of this

Mistakes have been made that I can’t fix

I look in the mirror and wonder who she is

The stranger looking back

I wish she was smart and knew what to do

But she just stands there secrets hidden in her dark eyes

Tears of shame roll down her cheeks

Confusion on her face

I reach my hand up to brush her tear away

Tell her that everything is going to be ok

Tilt her head up proud and wipe the confusion from her face

tell the girl in the mirror that I’ll figure it out I’m just not sure how
