"The Rise"

I'll rise above shame,
Accept mistakes and take blame ~
Dug up my fears and dug up my pain,
Even though it's dark I will shine through the rain ~
Disappointment becomes the past ,
The ones that claim "TRUE" don't last ~
Nothing left here to kill my spirit ,
I will walk this earth and no longer fear it ~
All the hurts been done I've unpacked my bags ,
All the garbage I hoarded I threw in the trash ~
Heart still beating and it does beat faith ,
I seen the best of 'em fall and looked death in the face ~
But I'm still breathing I managed to escape ,
what others don't care and for granted they take ~
Came to grips with the truth and stared hate in the eyes ,
You turned away first I'm someone you didn't recognize ~
All this bullshit gave me strength that no one can weaken ,
I don't care if you listen it's to GOD that I'm speakin' ~
The bad I overcame I severed all ties ,
I released all the pain now witness the rise ~
