Are like the breath I need to proceed
Inspire me to speak my mind
Lay it on the line
Float me away down the river of
Love and Life
With undercurrents of pain and strife

I live so fully in the embrace of your words
They flow through my mind
Immerse me in dreams of
The images you create

Out of words

So deeply in life
Bursting with scent     and sound     and taste
I feel it all
Happiness, hope, sex, love and hate
Make me feel true pain through raw emotion
Or ecstasy sweet as a chocolate ocean
All through

Senses on full alert
Most people could never understand
The emotional connection I have
Through words
From a gifted hand

But

Words could deceive
And for all I know    Life itself
Could be naught but an
Elaborate dream    Or a
Hallucination of
Great imagination

Yet regardless I think I fell
Made an emotional connection
Through beautiful words
From a gifted hand
By a talented man
