The little girl in darkest hole
Climbs out from beneath the rubble
Lifetime hurts and painful trouble
Looks to future drapped in dread
Will she end up sadly dead
No, shes far from what she feared
Someone round her, really cared

To a shining sunny field
Of hopes and dreams and love to come
Far from things been dealt from some
Looking to the life now seeing
From things that were past being
Full of saddness, loss and pain
Now a heart thats full of gain
From the change of heart within
Far from hatred, blame and sin
Far inside the child was screaming
Leave me be, her tears were streaming
Now she lives within with hope
and the knowledge she can cope
The child in me that was crushed
The saddness of the past is hushed
She smiles, laughs, comes out to play
The child within has had her say
