Bred to Fail

You don’t know me, and you never will,
You’re everything that’s wrong with US, here take a pill.
A pill solves everything!,
If you believe that, life is going to sting.
But your body won’t know,
So high on propaganda you are covered in snow.
Not the cold and wet, the dry lines of white,
Pumped into the streets under the broken light.
How did it get there? No help from “The Man?”
Don’t be naïve, they practically put it on your hand.
It keeps you down, but makes you feel up.
You’re moving weight in the gutter, forever stuck.
That’s you. And always will be,
In this ghetto game you’ll always take a knee.
You were bred to run in place, no progress, no gain.
They watch our streets get ruined with each bloody stain.
War in our back yards, and that’s what they want
Kids killing kids over a weed filled blunt
Its up to us to break the cycle, its up to you to help yourself,
Only we can overcome, and take back the wealth.
