The Edge
I stand on the edge and look into the abyss.I see a world of memories, of a life i would not miss.
They turn and swirl, disappearing like a drain.
I look up and stare into the sky as tears slide down my face.
I let myself go.
Slowly, falling into a river red with pain.
Quickly flowing down, like the blood from my vains.
All warmth is gone, and my body begins to chill.
I gentelly close my eyes, no more pain will i feel.dark dreams do tempt, and welcome you with their kiss.
Promising you everything, like a world filled with bliss.
Never be blinded for this darkness harbors lies.
Only wishing for it's own strength to rise. You can't take the easy way out, or throw away this gift.
Life is sacred and should be treasured, not thrown away like trash, for it is everchanging, not just a reflection of the past.
