siren
What is that sound?
It floats upon the air
Like a gentle breeze.
How beautiful it is,
Soft and sweet and lovely.
Like spun sugar it melts away,
It warms my blood
Caresses my skin.
I shiver as it rolls over me,
Like waves of water, lapping at the sand
As I listen I find myself lost.
All that I know is gone forever.
I fall deeper into the melody,
Drowning in music and words.
I catch a glimpse of the siren
She pulls me in,
Her song echoing about me.
A smile, like sweet poison
Blesses her face
And I know no more.
It floats upon the air
Like a gentle breeze.
How beautiful it is,
Soft and sweet and lovely.
Like spun sugar it melts away,
It warms my blood
Caresses my skin.
I shiver as it rolls over me,
Like waves of water, lapping at the sand
As I listen I find myself lost.
All that I know is gone forever.
I fall deeper into the melody,
Drowning in music and words.
I catch a glimpse of the siren
She pulls me in,
Her song echoing about me.
A smile, like sweet poison
Blesses her face
And I know no more.
