The Bear
With one unblinking eye
I stare out at the rain
The other torn so cruelly
I still can feel the pain
My chest it now lies empty
From where my heart was torn
This sad and lonely Teddy
Sits lifeless and forlorn
My owner thought me just a toy
No more than just a plaything
I lay discarded on the floor
No more happiness to bring
So when you glance around your room
And look upon your bear
Just kiss and hug him gently
And show him that you care
We Teddy bears all live and breathe
And shall never cause you strife
Wer'e there when you get lonely
And will love you all your life.
