Look On The Bright Side
Dead horses in the fields,
Resurrected before my eyes
Sporadic snowstorms
Summoning short-lived excitement,
Computers promising to be hassle-free for the day
A parade in my honour,
They told me,
The sky turning white with agreement
Hundreds of rainbow extroverts dressed in black,
Lining the streets with anticipation
Heavy, angry, rock music
Stomping its way through the people
Uplifting was the darkness,
Bubbles of shadow bursting the balloons,
And leaping from cottage to skyscraper
Talking and stalking,
The normal people disapprove
Followers of the procession
Stick black roses in their guns,
Cameo appearances from rock stars
As they try to get in on the action...
But I was too busy,
Crying in the arms of a Belisha Beacon
Resurrected before my eyes
Sporadic snowstorms
Summoning short-lived excitement,
Computers promising to be hassle-free for the day
A parade in my honour,
They told me,
The sky turning white with agreement
Hundreds of rainbow extroverts dressed in black,
Lining the streets with anticipation
Heavy, angry, rock music
Stomping its way through the people
Uplifting was the darkness,
Bubbles of shadow bursting the balloons,
And leaping from cottage to skyscraper
Talking and stalking,
The normal people disapprove
Followers of the procession
Stick black roses in their guns,
Cameo appearances from rock stars
As they try to get in on the action...
But I was too busy,
Crying in the arms of a Belisha Beacon
