The Sound of Serenity
I had let go of any redemption I had once believed would save me
I had let go of all hope of justice, Justice that I once held so close
I tore open the veil, And when my faith was put upon the holy tree
I saw an angel that smelled of roses, And the sound of serenity sweetly arose
A beacon to guide me home, A treasure to hold me modest in my brightest of days
A purpose to guide me true, A vision to reveal the resolve pulsing in my veins
A path to roam, An embodiment of pleasure, The whispers of the sun’s rays
A day to no longer rue, An antidote on my deepest incisions, Released from my chains
