from the ashes
eyes swollen
lips busted
body badly burned
from years of abuse
years of pain
years of intolerance
years of blood
and screaming
years of no way out
years of getting so full of it
full of the shit
and eventually
you burst
the flamea engulf you
like a pheonix
hugging you
and you are reduced to
nothing
but a pile of ashes
it doesnt stop there
rise from the ashes
how you do it is all up to you

Nice, although you switched a bit suddenly from years of hurt to rising from the ashes as a phoenix. Still, well written, and the last line really shone truth and wrapped the poem up.

The change from the negative opening to the second part of the composition is intriguing, as if it was a light switch that turns on and off, without having to deal with prior experiences.
