One tentative step follows grim stares
Into the abyss
A well of pity, abandoned and empty

He tosses in the coin and stares deep

But this time, he feels a disturbance
From deep in the abyss
He is acutely aware- it gazes back
From deep in the abyss
The boy trips, the creature emerges
From deep in the abyss

He's quick to his feet, trudges away
Swallowed by the abyss
His attempts to evade the creature

Distraught, he feels the hope and love
