Darkness' Deluge
As the Solstice approaches
Day shortens Night lengthens.
Light drowns in Darkness' deluge.
With Owl Eyes, one witnesses
Illumination inundated.
I ask; "Does anyone give a hoot!?"
Lucifer is descending
this is his coming of age
to become prince of darkness..
Satan is ascending
Sins are his soldiers of shadows.
Yet we memorialize the bright and morning star in the midst of the dark
To psyche us into ignoring
our lack of quality and value
For we force ourselves to look towards the light of a new year
While we leave behind our dirty deeds of last year,
cast behind us like the dark shadows they are
And WE ARE creatures of hope, just begging for the light to be revealed.
"Feed my eyes, blind me with your light!"
We plea our command, trough our arrogance that we are divine
worth more than the world itself. But trough our ignorance we fall with heads jerked back, looking up
We fail to see and recieve, the light has been
shimmering on us, simmering our faces,
I suppose to the point of scorching our skulls.
We fail to see because we fear to open our eyes
