The Boxer
He stands in the ring
never loses the fight in his eyes.
For the one he loves,
he will give up anything.
Fists smash against his face,
he doesn't give in,
for her.
For her.
Darkness.
He stumbles
He falls
"Stand up!" she shouts
Her face before his inner eye.
Next to the ring she stands,
shouting and waving.
"Stand up!"
and he does.
He won't give up, for her.
Just one fight, one last fight.
A promise to keep.
And then, settle down,
live in peace, in love…
He dashes in,
drives his fist into the opponents face.
Watches him as he goes down.
Victory!
One last fight,
for her he lifts his hand.
He looks for her,
just to find her place empty.
That one fight
no one could ever win,
she fought.
She lost…
never loses the fight in his eyes.
For the one he loves,
he will give up anything.
Fists smash against his face,
he doesn't give in,
for her.
For her.
Darkness.
He stumbles
He falls
