Christus in Altum
The Christ and the angel of light
In the maelstrom of evil and might
Who does dictate the wrong from the right
In this vision of blasphemous sight

What a penance devours the scales
And what hammer has conquered the nails
On his belly the serpent will crawl
Shedding cheer "to the death of us all"

The mouths of the wretched will feed
As the veins of the innocent bleed
Will the prophets remember his name
When the maggots make feast of their brain

As the child is born from the womb
And the corpses at rest in the tomb
So do Christ and the angel of light
Hand in hand ,sing of evil and might
