Beauty
The world is silent.
A very light russle is heard in the distance.
I lay on my back. The stars are magnificent.
Beauty.
The heat from her body gently brushes my hand.
My attention is drawn to her direction. Our eyes meet.
The twinkling in her eyes match that of the stars.
Beauty.
I take her hand.
She inches over to me.
She rests her head on my chest, and my arm gravitates around her.
Comfort.
She listens for my heart to make sure that I am real.
I run my fingers through hair to prove that I'm not dreaming.
She asks me to say the words.
Love.
She hugs me tighter.
A tear falls from her eye.
I hold her as her breathing slows and she falls asleep.
The stars are magnificent.
The world is silent.
