We Rise (We Fall)

We Rise.

Sometimes only so we can fall,

But still we try dispite it all.

So hard we try or at least pretend,

But sometimes falling is means to an end.

Sometimes we rise so fuckin high,

We dont see a thing or question why,

So it seems we fall time and again,

To remind us to remember when.

When everything was worry free,

When blind eyes once saw everything.

When we had naught but far-fetched dreams,

When we cared not what most people deemed.

When sticks and stones kept us for hours,

When bribes and money had no power.

We Rise,

Again, so we may see new things,

With diffrent outlooks, diffrent wings.

So we may gaze upon things here and past,

Cause we know now its not meant to last.

One day, again, we'll fall from grace,

All alone we'll fall to an unknown place.

To sit and look at where we've been,

To go back in time, to way back when.

When monsters scared us in the night,

When momma made us feel alright.

When Love was found in a simple smile,

When naps were something so damn vile.

When the world was stopped with just a kiss,

When ugliness did not exist.

And Then We Fall,

Just one last time cause we realize,

Thats all we do throughout our lives.

And tho we may be old and grey,

We see that Way leads on to Way.

It leads to dreams where we are free,

To roam around like blown debris.

To a far off place away from here,

Where we're among those we hold dear.

So dont be scared to fall sometime,

Its just a way to keep yer ass in line.
