Image for the poem I Love it When Hot Coffee Burns My Lips

I Love it When Hot Coffee Burns My Lips

loving small things has saved my life
to thwart the end’s just to behave
I’ve seen my life minuscule saved
 dry bones love no home
 I’ve loved sharp knives
I’ve loved strainers and kitten kisses
 love seems obsolete these days
perhaps for love of the grave
 a passenger pigeon plays
with loving loved love
