Chasing Ghosts

You haunt the life that we've created
you are an astral presence throughout these halls
you left me here jagged and jaded
to carve my wakeful fit into these walls

I am imprisoned here seeking you out
clawing for every cumbersome clue
reaching violently into your void
grasping at transparent traces of you

What forced you into loves limbo?
What is holding you in this place?
Was it sin, or sadness and sorrow?
What corroded your comfort and grace?

I am wandering here with no malicious intention
I am neither harbinger nor host
I desperately chase these devilish delusions
Stuck forever chasing your ghost.
