memory loss
forgive my eccentricities and delusions
I have failed you and myself
I am no Ggod
I am just a shell
that will waste away
into the ash that will be taken away by the winds
she is the wind
and we are both empty in truth
but perhaps memory is eternal
and saves itself
in some fiber optic contiuum of the stars
though they too will waste away
time will take us all
and if memory be eternal
there will be me nothing left to remember any of us
the tragic comedy of being

I have liked the tone of your plea Nathan...as if a prayer that will restore the hot-blood of mankind...a good vision...a good way to vent your ideas!!!

This is heartbreaking...I think cause I expected some of your fight and anger ot be screaming out of the words, but it's not there..it's just this sad resignation. It's beautifully written...it's a like a quiet acceptance of defeat.

quiet acceptance of defeat is exactly what it was.. you heard me yesterday.. i felt defeated.. but did come out with 4 poems.. so sadness truly is the perfect poet as i've often said.. ty xxx

tragic comedy or comic tragedy(?) rhetorical i suppose.. neither are remembered in the end are they (?)

A nice juxtaposition against your more violent, aggressive poems; the sheer pessimism and self-loathing here is simply heart-breaking. The final line is worthy of Shakespeare, and this one ain't too shabby either: "in some fibre optic continuum of the stars." A near perfect work of art.

cant always write about piss and death haha yeah quite self loathing and defeated in this piece.. i do like that line about the fiber optic continuum very much as well
