Tonight I feel like dancing
Senses attempt to rekindle feeling;
hysterically screaming
to create friction with the air,
praying for a spark burning bright.
Predictably failing.
My sightless perception
commits suicide for safety’s sake.
The world is enslaved in sorrows
unpitying constant rainfall.
Every sob is like breathing,
exhales are mellow blue;
streaks of weeping red
undulate through.
I turn to the Queen
of remorseful sentiments,
questioning reasons for existence.
She impels her crystal crown fiercely;
onto the ice-glazed ballroom floor.
Shards shatter into a thousand icicles,
drowning in her tears.
Lost spirits waltz around me
wearing morose expressions,
occasionally breaking into bitter snarls.
Lithe ghosts twirl ceremoniously around
her majesties still form.
The regret had graciously chocked her,
offering sympathetically a
free pass into peace.
Tonight I feel like dancing.
Rashly shedding my life
like a second skin.
I unite myself with the lost and cold,
in watching the end of our world.
