Melting point, Jadie and Rain
My Vision shifted,
beyond the starry night skies,
to widow, a widow to what was hearts deadly vice
She broke the chains that kept her cage,
and lost her only friend,
I was there with a rose
and the hope I could mend...
She was an angel, cleverly mangled
by the lies of her lover's voice,
If I could help, I would've without a choice,
a choice of chance
but as I tried to whisper softly in the echo of my care
she stood there stern, in her now craved harden stance..
--
Glass
Ashen lips
Frozen
She was but an ice princess
Cacooned in sterile stagnancy
She suffocated
silently
Waiting
On something
To pierce the veils of inequity
Scratching the ice from her eyelids
She takes in labored breath
Wishing the music was real
Something more, perhaps.
--
To her,
I spit the same lines used by men before,
frozen in a instant,
no chance of getting close,
as if I was gonna pull the mask from off my face,
and be that wolf,
hiding in shelters clothes,
of what a beautiful shade of hope...
Time passed,
and words became softer,
she knew there was no reason for doubt,
told me stories of the past
and the ones who did her in
I
took her every word
and showed her the difference between a true friend
to one that's just pretend...
--
He stuck
Cheerfully
A tingling thorn in her side
Euphoric and stubborn
He brought warmth
As seldom others did
Candles melting icicle tipped digits
dripping remorse
shedding skin
Slithering
Heedless up my arms
atop my head
Will you be my tophat,
Sir?
--
We grew differently in every aspect,
but a brother and sister feel
gave this friendship that one thing
that was to make it real.
I tried to be the voice of reason
but what help was that?,
im as useless as trying to explain that drugs are bad,
to the cat in the hat...
But no matter the way we shape
I'll always be glad
to be her escape
--
He is insufferable
In his modesty
The listener in the dark
A pillar
Rooted
Like an old tree
Gnarled and rough outside
Young and beautiful within
and with her I don't even know where to begin..
but we'll be forever allies in this world of sin
beyond the starry night skies,
to widow, a widow to what was hearts deadly vice
She broke the chains that kept her cage,
and lost her only friend,
I was there with a rose
and the hope I could mend...
