Suicide Letter

There's no easy way to say this,
I just can't take this any longer,
I thought that I could handle it,
Fooled myself into thinking I was
stronger.

As time just kept slipping by,
My outer shell started to fall apart,
I can't focus on life anymore,
When there's no feeling in my heart.

To all of those reading this,
I'm sorry if I caused you pain,
Please don't mourn for me,
I don't deserve it when all I've brought
is shame.

Just know I tried so hard,
To keep myself in line,
But my thoughts they've overpowered
me,
Into believing this choice is right.

I hope you don't blame yourselves,
There wasn't anything you could do,
I was too far gone for any help,
To actually pull me through.

Please try to enjoy your lives,
They're more precious that you'd imagine,
No one else needs to find a loved one
dead,
With a suicide letter describing why it
happened.
