I am a poet
I don't have to think,
I just have to know it
You don't have to get me,
because I won't ever say sorry

I speak in a haze
Write rhymes of those days
dwell on it over a piece of paper
If it sucks I just save it for later
Or it just flows out
I don't have to think
I just have to blow out
Release the steam
from my cold blooded misery
Unfold along the seems
rip it open, let out my dream

I don't have to think
I just have to know how
before it even begins
it's over now

so that's why every time
I look in the mirror
I look in my eyes
And I see what it means
to live life in a rhyme
A rhythm arrives

And I don't have to think
I just close my eyes
and judge me for what I am
not for what I was

I am a poet, a writer
a musician, a traveler
I don't have to think
I just have to know it
