Libertine's folly

Do not predict what is to come,
Don't fear the unknown,
To do as such is natural to some,
To have all their future shown,
But I believe in mystery,
To let life guide the way,
For what I learned from history,
Is not to plan, but to float away,

And so to follow the great Liberal figures,
Who ne'er judged nor planned nor mourned,
Their doings in my mind it triggers,
And I desire to be scorned,
And if such carefree deeds,
Should lead you into crisis,
Then lose your morals they are but weeds,
And bask in what the prize is,

And when the world sees you as insane,
Relentless in your sordid pleasures,
Stay the same yourself maintain,
Elope in Libertine treasures,
Hold on tight to what you are,
Open your mind broad and wide,
Live as such and you will go far,
Emerge untameable as the tide...
