Happy Fathers Day

This is to all the fathers that abandoned their children before this fathers day

i once thought i cared
i once thought i missed you
i wonder what your doing now
i wonder where youve been

how many others are there?
how many brothers and sisters do i not know?
could something have changed the way you left?
something me or momma couldve done?

too bad cause now your gone and youll never have the privledge
of hearing "happy fathers day"
youll never be that man to me

where were you on my first day of school?
what about the first time i tied my own shoe?
were you even there when i first said daddy?
im starting to doubt it now

i know not the reasons you left
no reason would be reason enough anyways
abandoning the child you held and swore you loved
that love eventually faded
now theyre just hollow words

your not here and i cant change that
im sure i dont want it to change either
cause im now stronger from what youve done

all that is irrelevant though
fact is i just dont love you
not after what you did to me
