I find it hard to imagine that intelligence
Would necessarily be accompanied by morals
By honour
But it seems ever so

Perhaps true understanding and empathy are intellectual exercises after all
For its not like ive been tricked
And it’s not like I can be threatened
By quaint notions of the omniscience
Fearless as I am of this oblivion just beyond me
Of this inky darkness in all directions

So it must be intellectual
It must just be another area of understanding
