In my spot

Blood drips from the end of the knife .
Forming a pool in to witch I can drown and take my life.
I been swimming for forever and I never get to the bottom.
I got problems if you want them I got them.

It seems I stuck living in the past .
Concerned with yesterday and living fast .
Started most days with a crack pipe blast.
I try an maintain but it never seems to last .  

The needle is my best friend and I go where it sends me .
Heroin and extacy  turn my friends into enemies.
I know one day this will be the end of me .
Cause I refuse to pay back the money they been lending me.  

I spend most days glued to the couch .
Now I need to buy my dope by the ounce.
And when ya drop a crumb Im the first to pounce.
Come and spend all your doe and an I expect you to bounce.

I hate it but this is my reality .
I get payed in dope like it was a salary .
Shoot all kind of chemicals like I'm in a gallery .
The only one left in my home is my 40 cal and me .

Most mornings I wake and don't want to live.
I be leaking blood from my arms like a sieve.
I can't make this monkey happy no matter how I give.
I'd like to take this beast and hang him of a bridge.

One day I will get clean and learn how to live life.
Kick this habit that has me overcome with grief and strife.
A day with out chopping up dope man it has to be nice.
I'd adore my self in fine cloths and be seasoned with spice.

I know it is hard cause it started real simple.
To kick this dope and become like normal people .
To fit in to life when all my efforts have been feeble.
Maybe I should go to church and sit my ass in the steeple.

One day I hope to walk among the strong .
One day I hope to get back the feelings that's gone.
One day I hope to take this needle from my arm .
One day I hope I can do myself no more harm.
