Dark descent
I traversered darkened skies of
twilight in my quest for heaven.
I dove into the deep pits of tartarus
and came back with nothing.
In fury I roamed the earth, wanting
to rape and defile all that is pure.
Now I see that I have only destroyed
the remnants of my pitiful self.
An empty shell filled with darkness
is what remains of who I once was.
In shame I look to heavenly dome
one last time, before the darkness
claims me.
