Hard Love
I am a complicated Melody
with Nothing left but pieces of me
lying scattered on my bedroom floor
Ive taken so much I cant take no more
but Still I Love...Hard.
They say the definition of insanity is
doing the same thing
expecting a different end
Well Im clinically insane
Because one thing remains the same
No matter who to blame
I still love .....Hard.
Hard like a first grader in college math
Hard like mamas babies growin up to fast
hard like he doesnt don't deserve
hard like you wouldn't believe
Hard like I love him but he stopped loving me
That why i am a Complicated Melody
My heart beats
the tune is slow & sweet
and when he was around
he moved his feet
snapping fingers
swaying hips
spilling empty promises from lying lips
and Still i loved him..Hard
I loved him
hard.
Hard Like being black in 1950's Mississippi
Given til I couldn't anymore
cried rivers & still he didn't see me.
didnt feel me slippin
Picked my emotions of the ground
tidied them up, damn I was trippin
He just dont know what hes missing
Guess I loved him to hard
his mind couldnt take it
dont recognize a good thing
til its to late and
when he looks back
hes gonna wish she loved him like me
cuz i love hard and she loves too softly
givin her love freely
to everyone but him
Geoerge, paul, jack, mike & Jim
Sad to say as I smile & look away
I told him he was gonna miss me one day
Cuz i love hard
with Nothing left but pieces of me
lying scattered on my bedroom floor
Ive taken so much I cant take no more
but Still I Love...Hard.
