Fairy Tales
You
Make me think
Of fairy tales
Of jeweled crowns
And golden gowns
Of mahogany twilights
And ebony nights
Of the rippling moon
In a crystal lagoon
And a twinkling star
In a silver spoon
Of dancing fairies
Wearing flower tiaras
And of Cinderella
waltzing with her prince
But of course
Every time
The clock strikes at midnight
I come back to myself
A simpleton
Away from fantasies
And dreams
Only tear drops, to remain
On a plastic screen
Make me think
Of fairy tales
Of jeweled crowns
And golden gowns
Of mahogany twilights
And ebony nights
Of the rippling moon
In a crystal lagoon
And a twinkling star
In a silver spoon
Of dancing fairies
Wearing flower tiaras
And of Cinderella
waltzing with her prince
But of course
Every time
The clock strikes at midnight
I come back to myself
A simpleton
Away from fantasies
And dreams
Only tear drops, to remain
On a plastic screen
