I Lost You

I had you once, and we were set,
On the life we wanted,
But on the 7th, when you left,
I lost what we had started.

I felt love, first and last,
And you proceed to take it,
I did nothing wrong, your heart was mine,
There's no way I can make it.

We need a break, you need some space,
Tell me lies, to my face,
But one day, I know I'll face,
My past, your arms, my only happy place.

I stood my ground, I grabbed your arm,
I swore I'd never let you leave,
I tried to stop you, you won't agree,
As you begin to plant your hatred seeds.

I had enough, I cannot stay,
I watched you walk away,
I had you once, I lost you twice,
I'm back to live the single life.

To my ex girlfriend, Rebecca.
