A Dream Remains A Dream

Diving into boundless depths
Embedded within a pair of gems
Pocketed on his moony lens
I once had this dream

Of a shower of jasmine
Falling over ebony tresses
of Persian silk dresses
Spread on damask carpets

Of milky waterfalls
Of the whispering breeze
Blowing over the trees
Carrying jewelled roses

Of silver trinkets
Engraved on a golden pamphlet
Of flaming scarlet
Etched on bridal palms

And quenched thirsts
From sweetened sherbet
Of a dancing trumpet
Mimicking symphonized blues

Of brown teddy bears
Dancing with wind chimes
And painted nursery rhymes
Chanted as love songs

Of carved sculptures
decorated with ancient embroidery
Mixed with antique calligraphy
As timeless momentos

On the mantel piece
Then he blinked
And his amnesia triumphed
Ruining everything

So it all vanished
Into a deep abyssal hem
Of lucid Freudian REM
And destiny woke me up
