Good Girl
I see you stare at me with contempt,
I stare back at you with greater ascent,
I stay the good girl,
While you run with the Devil's game.
I laugh at you behind your back,
The thoughts thought by you are silly,
You think I don't know a thing or too,
About things too big to handle,
And taking a walk,
In the dark side's shoes?!
A fire burns, softly glows,
A pure heaven on it's own,
Yet it stays in one place,
Tamed and safe,
I look at it with strong desire,
To let it out and let it roar,
See it darken the grass,
To a crispy, crunchy black,
But I stay away from it,
I stay the good girl.
I can't sit still at school at all,
I have to leave, I have to breathe!
I want to scream aloud,
To the teachers teaching nothing,
I've caught them many a time,
Even teaching wrong,
I want to leave in the middle of class,
A door so close,
I want to run,
But I sit and grit my teeth,
I stay the good girl.
I struggle with the life that surrounds me,
People lying all around me,
Spitting at my face,
Giving me looks of high disgrace,
I'm the good one,
I'm the smart one,
I do what everyone else wants,
Never having time for me.
I'm tired and I've had enough,
Of this life I have sufficed,
Yet I pull on through,
Doing more things for all of you,
I stay the good girl.
I stare back at you with greater ascent,
I stay the good girl,
While you run with the Devil's game.
I laugh at you behind your back,
The thoughts thought by you are silly,
You think I don't know a thing or too,
