On overdrive

I'm on overdrive
It's been awhile since I've been here
Tired I am
My eyes are straining to stay open
Workaholic I am
All this work is driving me insane
People ask me , " why do you work so hard?"
These people have always been handed down everything they wanted
For me nothing was ever handed down
Everything I have today I've worked for
Time is not on my side
But it's what make me work harder
Each day I grow older
Each day the work gets harder

I'm on overdrive
I'm working harder than ever before
Stopping is never an option
With my eye's closed I'll keep going
When mouth-functioning I'll keep going
I'll keep working till it's my time go

I'm on overdrive
My sanity has left me
Driving myself insane is what I'm doing
Taking a break doesn't exist in my mindset
I hated the day you walked into my life
You thought you could compete with me
You thought you could work harder than me
Truth is you'll fail
No one can compete with me
No one can work harder than me
Keep your sanity
You don't want to be like me
I've come to a place of insanity
There's no reality where I am
To my last breathe i have worked to
My family has laid me to rest
I'm on overdrive no longer
