At the Bike Shoppe

Jimmied my wheels
in the door
and the young woman
behind the counter
asked me,
"Is there any way
I could help you?"

"Why, yes Ma'm,
I could use
a once over twicely."

She put me
on the rack
and had me tuned up
in no time.

"Is there anything else
while you're here?"
she asked.

"I'll need a night light,
a rear light,
a new water bottle
and a couple of tubes,
please,"
I explained.

"I recommend
the Number 3;
it's a little larger
but it gets you
where you're going.

I use that one
all the time.

On the tubes,
if you unwrap them
and use this handy little gadget
you can
take out all the air
and roll it up
in a big fat circle
so it can fit
in that tight little sack
you've got on back,
since you've got
limited space.

Now, do you have
a tube wrench?"

"I don't need one," I said
sticking my finger
in my mouth
and twirling a circle
with it in the air.

"Oh, my,"
she sighed,
"it looks like
you've done
that before."
