Concrete Inquisition
Routines slack the soul
A decision was made
“I’m using my good ole rollerblades today”
Charged with adrenaline and a smiley face
Rolling down the Asphalt with glee
“I was sick of home anyway”
Dogs bark and children skip rope
Cars cruising at insane pace
“Better be careful now”.
Crack heads roaming out and about
Gun shots heard from a distance
“Nothing changes here”.
Yet a grin emerges childishly
Despite all the crap around us
“Life is great!”
