creatures of dreams
shadow people,
who are you?
what is your purpose?
though I have not,
others have seen you in that hypnagogic state
you do not touch or cause harm
you just watch
like stalking gargoyles
and you are dark outside as well as within
they see this in you
what are you observing to see?
do you have any words to say to us?
are you one of the dream people?
who are you?

Pleasently constructed, classical verse, and I especially enjoyed the phrase "stalking gargoyles." Very Gothic and yet somehow resonant. I love these poems of yours where you question something or someone; such re-creations of your inner turmoil are always fascinating. One minor grammatical quibble, though: "observing to see"? Of course I could be wrong, but that doesn't sound quite kosher.

I really liked the gargoyle line too.. yeah so many questions so few answers.. sucks.. but I do what i can and ask the questions.. and maybe one day perhaps in those last moments of death all will be revealed.. and yes I think you're right "observing to see" is probably not proper english.. I caught it.. I just used my poetic license again like that other verse in another poem that also wasn't quite as you put it kosher
