Being A Child Everyday

The older I grow
The younger I become
The more darkness I see
The more my light shine
Simplicity I show
Sadness I've overcome
There's nothing to being me
I accept weakness as mine

Pride I gladly renounce
Humility I seek
To bear no grudge in me
Forgiving and forgetting like a child
May my lips forever pronounce
Words of loving tenderness, gentle and meek
With my joy boundless like the sea
Forever young and wild

Like the ants some might slave away
I do my work dilligently and enjoy what what life brings
Always showing gratitude for the good, bad and ugly phases of life
Everyday's my good day
Yet everyday I aspect the worst
Holding strong to my faith to conquer
My hope steady robust

The strength in being a child's been revealed to fools
The wise in his wisdom stray
The mighty fall to their greatest surprise
Only to watch the weak rise
Who can understand the contradictions of life?
To who is such foresight given?
I have made this philosophy my wife
To be a child everyday
