Canyons - 2001

Gazing wistfully upon the naked grandeur
Sagebrush rolling aimlessly across the wilderness
Great canyons filled with the silence of long forgotten trails
Just the place to forget
A place for the past
Burying yesterday’s sins, they are best left behind amongst the brutal memories
Wrapping them in regrets whispered cloak
Forever washing away its gore
Yet this wilderness is inside
The void where the heart used to be
Devoid of love
Even the newness of the millennium produces no spark
