Left for Death
Leave me for
Death to find me
Wrapped in my silken woes
I plead for Death as
he comes bearing the single
thread of string that's my life.
"Do you feel dead?" Death asks
I look into the black sockets
of his skull where many have found
themselves lost as their souls traveled
into their depths.
"Yes" I respond, hoping
not only to have the feeling but to
experience True Death.
Please shed my blood on these
dirty wood floors I've walked on
and capture my tears as they fall.
I deserve no reconciliation
for my wrong doings,
It's the price I must pay.
So please, take my tears and
my soul and steal them away and leave
me with the barren hollowness that
they shall leave in their wake.
Leave me for Death.
