You've Got A Friend
I don't think it matters if you grew up a loser like me
Death is always glad to see you and to set you free
Did I say 'set you free?' I meant kidnap you from life
If death does come, it'll hardly leave without strife
I used to hope for death and wish I could leave
But Death came for my family, which I still don't believe
I hated solitude but now it's quite soothing
I've learned to roll with the punches and to keep moving
So I say unto you, and I say it loud and clear
There's plenty of hope since I'm still here
Death is always glad to see you and to set you free
Did I say 'set you free?' I meant kidnap you from life
If death does come, it'll hardly leave without strife
I used to hope for death and wish I could leave
But Death came for my family, which I still don't believe
I hated solitude but now it's quite soothing
I've learned to roll with the punches and to keep moving
So I say unto you, and I say it loud and clear
There's plenty of hope since I'm still here
