If Only I Knew How to Love You
fragile rose
your sorrow blooms
through your false pose
you have led yourself to your doom
so easily crushed
so unprepared
for the onslought of lust
and the battering nightmares
I wish I could love you
but how can I bring myself to love
something as delicate as you?
tell me my pure dove
tears grace your face
I rush to your aid
but before you can be embraced
I run you over and again you fade
your soft skin yearns to be whipped
your blood aches to be shed
I want to crush you in my brutal grip
with my love until you are dead
but it is the wrong path to take
you are a vexing concept
if only you wouldn't break
if only you were durable and adept
but you are so delicate
my fragile rose
you were never able to handle it
you can never handle such harsh blows
If only I knew how to love you
then you would be safe with me
If only I knew
If only I could see......

Damn, this is brilliant:

There is so much romantic poetry in these verses. I love what you wrote.
There is a lot of passion and desire.
The poet is torn: she wants hold, with all the passion of which she is capable, the Rose while is afraid of damaging it.
What I would not give to be instead of the Rose. Surely I would ask you to fulfill your desires and do what you want of me: let you go beyond your fear of hurting me.
But I am little special as you already know. ;)
