Fate
I have this hunch it’ll never be over
And the thought is locked away forever
The reality is so cold and plain
Always more of the old same
I don’t accept your tired pity
The glass is cracked and half empty
I wish it was to the brim and full
And this gravity had a little more pull
In my lonesome defense, I really tried
To find a quiet place to hide
But even so, you caught me
I’ll crawl out willingly
The outside world is nothing but a cage
I was told that from a poor, homeless sage
It’s all built up just to fall back down
The king of logic must’ve lost his crown
So spill your tears on this grave
You can’t help, you can’t save
The weight of the world is too great
But I can’t change my fate
And the thought is locked away forever
The reality is so cold and plain
Always more of the old same
I don’t accept your tired pity
The glass is cracked and half empty
I wish it was to the brim and full
And this gravity had a little more pull
In my lonesome defense, I really tried
To find a quiet place to hide
But even so, you caught me
I’ll crawl out willingly
The outside world is nothing but a cage
I was told that from a poor, homeless sage
It’s all built up just to fall back down
The king of logic must’ve lost his crown
So spill your tears on this grave
You can’t help, you can’t save
The weight of the world is too great
But I can’t change my fate
