Premonition (Chapter 12)
Everywhere I turn to, I see nothing but darkness, but yet why is it that I could see the snow fall? I stretch out my hand to catch the snowflakes. However, eventhough I felt the cold, those flakes fell through my hands. I tried to call out, but not even a whisper escaped my lips. Then i heard footsteps. Heavy, slow and rhythmic. I could see two shadows approach me from a distance. The only difference between them was that one had human form and the other didn't. It was an overflowing mass of black gunk which seemed to have a mind of its own. Searching, spreading, engulfing everything in its path. What I found strange was that, that thing was connected to the human shadow as if on a leash. Who was manipulating who?
The nearer it approached, the more I felt myself fade away. My mind, blank. My breath, stopped and my emotions, a blend of fear and curiosity. What would I feel not if but when that thing finally had me? Would I disappear? Would I shatter like glass? Would I be able to feel my bones break? For that moment, it didn't matter. I just wanted to leave this world that was full of lies. Did it matter if I ran? In this dark abyss, there WAS nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide. Eventually, that thing WILL get me, whether I liked it or not. Without thinking, I took a step forward, one after the other. I felt no resentment. I had no regrets. I cast everything aside as I marched towards that monster. I was about to close my eyes and break into a sprint when i felt a familiar warmth grab at me from behind. My eyes began to tear the very moment he touched me. Half of me wanted to push him away, the other half wanted to beg him to hold me tighter. If this was a dream, he'd be gone again when I woke up. Lying even to myself and to live in a world that didn't exist. It was pathetic, and it was just a matter of time before he realized this and never came back. The struggle continued but he still managed to get me quite a distance away from that thing. When I couldn't hear the shadows' footsteps anymore, my knees finally gave in.My legs were useless...just like its sobbing owner.I leaned against his chest with a heavy heart. The snow had changed into rain. It ran down his face and fell onto mine like second-hand tears. The wind howled like it did in my soul, and with it, brought a voice that urged me to wake up. I rebelled in hatred by closing my eyes tightly in an attempt to lose myself even further, but he wouldn't allow it. He gripped my wrists while he lowered his lips to meet mine. When I gave no response, he kissed me even harder. I tried to ignore it but he had forced his tongue into my mouth. He soon had me gasping for air and my eyes flew wide open in surrender. It showed when my breath was all that I could see in front of me. After he felt me struggle instead of slumping against him, his kiss softened. Ironically, it was only after he felt me kiss him back that he let go of me completely. When we pulled apart, I saw his lips forming words but the only thing i could hear was the sound of my own panting...
When I woke up, I was aware of two things. One was that I woke up with my arms in the very position he had pinned me down in. The second was that it looked like a whirlwind had hi my room. Drawers were flung out, papers and clothes were littered across the floor and it looked like almost everything that could be knocked down, was. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if sleep-walking was the culprit. It took me awhile to notice that Julian was gone and that the front door was left wide open. When I picked up my clock off the pile of blankets strewn across the bed, I saw that I had literally slept the entire day...again. I didn't know what to do, I was literally stunned. Do i start cleaning or go report this to Mrs. Greenwood? Do i get down from my bed and risk getting cut by broken glass or should I wait for Flourite to come back and help? God only knows what HIS expression would be like once he saw all this...

"Are you 100% sure about this?" " You said it yourself, he came to her rescue so obviously we're using the right bait." "Who knows?! It could have been somebody else!" "Listen to yourself, Julian! A week ago, you would have jumped at the chance to seal that thing away and right when it's under your very nose, you bail?! Its nothing to do with that 'female', does it?" "Shut up, Colas. I'm just as obsessed with it as you are, unfortunately. However, I didn't mean for innocent people to get involved." "Look, all we did was dangle a hamster in front of a cat." "That 'hamster' was almost eaten!" "But she wasn't." " Colas, I am telling you I am not going to sacrifice anyone's life for this!" "Stop being such a twat, Julian. We're just lucky he still has no clue about what he is yet, but i can't guarantee he'll stay that way for long. Besides, sealing a Guardian would also mean sealing the soul its been reborn into, and when THAT happens, you will literally be 'taking a life' anyway." "THE HELL?!!! You're only telling me this NOW?!"
"HEY! You two! What are you doing? You're not supposed to be here!" "Nice going, Julian. You've managed to 'summon' Mr.Callus. Guess you really DO have talent-" "Shut up and run you idiot!" he yelled while panting. Mr.Callus was their current history teacher and his profession matched his age. He was out of breath by the time both Colas and Julian made it to the intersection. "Not bad, rookie, but then again, I have to remind myself that you weightlift girls to-" "Colas, I swear if you don't stop soon, I.Will.Kill.You!" "Ah, that's the spirit. Now look alive, there's our target."
